Ayomide Bolajoko
Violin & Viola Faculty
Ayomide Bolajoko is a violinist, violist, recording artist, and music educator based in Maryland. Equally at home in classical and contemporary music, he brings a dynamic approach to teaching that combines strong technical foundations with creativity, artistry, and real-world performance experience.
Ayomide’s musical achievements have earned him the David Nwamara Prize and the Princess Banke Ademola Award for Violin, as well as recognition in the Musi-Quest Classical Music Competition. In 2024, he performed with the African Youth Orchestra during World Orchestra Week at Carnegie Hall, joining young musicians from around the world in a celebration of orchestral excellence.
As a professional recording musician, Ayomide has collaborated with some of Africa’s most influential artists, including Asake, Olamide, Adekunle Gold, Tiwa Savage, and MohBad. His work can be heard on Asake’s acclaimed albums Mr. Money with the Vibe and Work of Art, and he was featured as part of Asake’s celebrated NPR Tiny Desk Concert performance. Through these collaborations, Ayomide has helped bring the sound of the violin to millions of listeners around the world.
Passionate about student growth, Ayomide inspires musicians of all levels to develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of music. His unique career spanning concert halls, recording studios, and international stages allows students to learn from a musician who is actively shaping the future of string performance across multiple genres.
